Privacy and cookies
How the site handles information, cookies and your privacy choices.

Information the system handles
Depending on how you use the site, EEIU may process account and contact details, membership and committee records, event and project activity, messages and task comments, notification preferences, and financial or governance records entered by authorised officers. Public forms collect only the information requested on those forms. Please do not submit sensitive personal details unless the form specifically requests them.
Why it is used
Information is used to provide the public website and account services, manage organisation activities, protect accounts, enforce role-based access, deliver notifications that users have enabled, and maintain audit records for accountability. Access to administrative records is restricted by account permissions. Push notifications use generic text and do not include message or financial details on a device lock screen.
Cookies and your choice
The site uses strictly necessary first-party cookies for login sessions, security protections such as CSRF, and remembering your cookie preference. These functions are required for the requested account services and remain active when optional cookies are rejected. The current site has no analytics or advertising provider enabled. Optional analytics cookies are not set by this site unless that feature is added and you consent. You may change your choice at any time using Cookie settings.
The site currently loads Font Awesome assets from cdnjs and the sign-in layout loads fonts from fonts.bunny.net. Those providers receive normal connection metadata when your browser requests the assets; these requests are separate from EEIU optional analytics cookies.
Sharing, storage and retention
The system does not offer or sell member, donor, financial, safeguarding or communications records as a public dataset. Data may be processed by the hosting, email or browser push services needed to deliver a feature you use. If you enable push, the browser push endpoint and encryption keys are stored for that account/device so alerts can be delivered; you can remove the subscription in notification settings, and it is removed when the account is deleted. Private organisational documents are delivered through authorised application routes rather than public file links. Records and protected backups are retained according to EEIU operational and legal requirements; authorised administrators should review and apply a documented retention schedule.
Your choices and questions
You can control optional cookie consent, notification channels and device push subscriptions in the site settings. For a privacy question or a request about information submitted to EEIU, contact EEIU.
