Safeguarding commitments
EEIU takes concerns about safety, abuse, exploitation, harassment and other safeguarding risks seriously. Reports should be handled promptly, respectfully and on a need-to-know basis.
Reports are accessible only to users explicitly assigned safeguarding access. Reporters may submit anonymously; anonymous reports are still reviewed, but follow-up may be limited when a safe contact method is not provided.
Case notes and access records are stored separately from ordinary activity logs, dashboards and search. Designated officers should record only information needed to assess risk, support appropriate referrals and document follow-up.
This form is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a trusted local safeguarding authority.
Confidentiality cannot be guaranteed where disclosure is necessary to protect someone or meet a legal obligation. Access and retention should be reviewed by the organisation's designated safeguarding leadership in line with applicable law and approved policy.
